Cedar’s Continuing Care department is excited to introduce our Codependency Recovery Group, facilitated over eight weeks, in two hour virtual meetings, hosted by a Masters level clinician. Throughout the course of the 8 week workshop, participants will learn new, healthier ways to relate to the world and themselves.
Codependency is defined as: an emotional and behavioral condition that affects an individual’s ability to have a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship. Codependency can often manifest as anger, control, shame, and/or over responsibility.
The Codependency Recovery group is educational, empowering, positive, compassionate, and solution-focused. Participants will begin by exploring how codependency manifests in their lives and affects their relationship with themselves and others. The group facilitator will provide education and guidance on building healthy relationships, establishing boundaries, overcoming shame, and repairing the relationship with self.
Clients will complete the group with an improved perspective on life’s challenges and their individual role within relationships.
