Cedars Anxiety Regulation Program

Research by Santabarbra and colleagues (2021) suggested “…the rates of anxiety in the general population could be more than 3 times higher during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Anxiety is our central alarm and defense system, which is activated in response to threats of any kind – real or perceived. Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It is a feeling of fear and apprehension about what is to come. Anxiety can be an unwanted companion in life, and through early recovery.

Join us for Cedar’s Anxiety Regulation Program to learn about the barriers anxiety may create and how to navigate them.

In this eight week workshop we’ll cover the following topics:

  • What is Anxiety and Worry?
  • Cognitive Distortions
  • Unhealthy coping and Core Beliefs
  • Emotions/ Emotional regulation
  • Values and Goals
  • Acceptance and Self-Compassion
