Research by Santabarbra and colleagues (2021) suggested “…the rates of anxiety in the general population could be more than 3 times higher during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Anxiety is our central alarm and defense system, which is activated in response to threats of any kind – real or perceived. Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It is a feeling of fear and apprehension about what is to come. Anxiety can be an unwanted companion in life, and through early recovery.
